How did the Aussie Diggers Live ?
The Aussie Digger in Vietnam lived his life in 4 man tents at 1ATF Base.
It didnt take the canvas tents long to rot from the tropical conditions.
Sandbagged against enemy mortar attack and air conditioned by nature.
A canvas stretcher, mozzie net, metal trunk and the rest you had to scrounge.
Aussie ingenuity turned ammunition boxes into practical furniture.

Not all the buildings were tents, above is an aireal view of supply,
administration and logistic buildings built around 1ATF Base.

Some buildings were of this style, this is an RAP (Regimental Aid Post )

If you had a medical complaint, this was were you saw the

Most common complaints for the Aussie diggers were, skin rashes,
prickly heat, ear infections, foot problems the RSM and the Vungers Drips.
