These
were carried over from the Korean
war
and used early on in Vietnam.

The
'Prick 10' was the standard FM radio
at
the begining of the Vietnam War.
It
was replaced by the PRC-25 in late 1965

Working
PRC 25 and accessories.
Hand
Set,3 & 10 foot aireals & golf bag.
The
'Prick 25' replaced the old PRC-10 and became the most widely used
radio in the Vietnam theatre. The FM receiver/transmitter had a
recommended range of 5 clicks with the short tape antenna and up to 8
clicks with the 7 section long-range antenna.

This headset with
boom microphone plugged into the PRC-25.
This hands-free
system allowed for continuous 2-way communication and eliminated the
need for the handset.

Working
PRC 77 and accessories.
Hand

Next
generation radio,no valves but
pretty
much the same as 25 set.

Clipped
onto PRC 25 or 77 Set.
Used
as a signal booster for these radios.
Was
trialed and found to be not reliable.

AN
/ PRC 90
These
are working survival radios that is carried
in
the emergency vest of air crew members.
Also
used by some special forces.
It
can transmit a beacon
(attention
getting warble tone) on 243.0 MHz.
Voice
on 243.0 or 282.2 MHz and Morse Code in Modulated Continuos Wave
(MCW) mode on 243.0.
It
will receive voice on 243.0 and 282.2 MHz.
Now
with Brooke
Clarke battery adaptor.

Working
AN / PRR-9 Reciever on helmet
&
AN / PRT-4 Transmiter on webbing.
Description:
Held Transmitter. Used for short range communications between squad
and platoon leaders.
Came
into the system by late 1968.
Receiver
clips to helmet and is secured by lanyard.
Great
idea,used in the field & by Military Police
around
towns,but a poor under powered performer.
Battery

for a british made radio set.
Includes
travel case for protection.

This
interesting item is date marked March 1967.
I
have set it up with the two PRC sets
and
it worked well once I read the manual.
Used
to find enemy jamming sets
with
PRC 25 & 77 Sets in the field.
The
cables attach to the PRC 25 / 77
set
and then to finding unit.
Signal
from enemy jamming set increased
with
correct direction toward enemy radio.

Larkspur
C45 Radio Set
Almost
complete vehicle setup.
Station
Radio C45 is a VHF vehicular GP transceiver. Primarily VHF command
nets (including Corps, Division, Territorial Forces and Units) and AFV's.
Frequency
range 23-38MHz in 100kHz steps
(Nos.
1 and 3) providing 151 channels or in 50kHz
steps
(No. 2) providing 301 channels.
RF
output 15-20W (HP) or 0.5W (LP). MO with crystal calibrator. FM R/T.
Range 10-15 miles.
